Overview

The expansion of digital services in Nepal has increased access to information but has also made users more dependent on fragmented platforms and informal sources. Many essential tools and guides remain scattered across websites, social media pages, and unofficial channels.[2]

Kamko was developed to bring commonly used public-interest information and digital utilities into a single, structured platform.

Background and Purpose

Kamko was created as a response to everyday challenges faced by Nepali users when accessing digital guidance, public-service information, and routine utilities. The project focuses on practicality rather than presentation, with an emphasis on clarity, offline usability, and reference-based information.

Importance and Use

A significant portion of Kamko’s services can be accessed offline, allowing users to rely on the application even with limited or unstable internet connectivity. The app is commonly used for digital guidance, documentation reference, and daily informational needs.[3]

Users rely on Kamko for guidance related to foreign employment and travel, including verification of work and visit visas for multiple countries. The app provides official reference links and contact details of Nepali embassies and diplomatic missions associated with those destinations.

Kamko is also used as a learning resource for digital platforms.,t includes step-by-step guidance on Facebook and YouTube topics such as account recovery, page setup, content management, and monetization-related processes, presented in an instructional format.

Services and Features

Kamko provides access to 24 public-oriented services covering digital help, reference tools, and daily-use utilities. Many of these features are designed to function fully or partially offline.

Donation options, including QR-based contributions, are provided within the application for users who wish to support the project.

Development

Kamko is developed and maintained as a long-term public-interest digital initiative. Its operation involves infrastructure management, content verification, service integration, and regular updates based on public relevance rather than commercial objectives.

Future Plans

The project roadmap includes the addition of further Nepal-focused services. Planned updates aim to expand the number of public-oriented tools beyond the current set, with a long-term goal of incorporating over fifty services based on emerging digital and civic needs.

Availability

Kamko is available on the Google Play Store for Android devices and on the Apple App Store for iOS devices. The application is free to download and use.
